A fews days after FC Motown announcing his signing, the Cosmos have announced that Danny Szetela will return to the club on a contract extension as captain of Cosmos B.
Reunited and it feels so good!@DSzetela14 signs with #NYCosmosB taking the captain’s armband from new head coach @cmendes80 #NPSLhttps://t.co/mBndF6ZDXc

Last offseason, Szetela left and returned to the club in a similar fashion, signing for the San Francisco Deltas before the Cosmos returned to play.
In the clubs’ official press release Szetela said the following about returning to the Cosmos.
The head coach is the former Captain who passes the armband on to the next man. This could be a good tradition. Welcome back @DSzetela14 https://t.co/Mw7D16eOLD

This and the announcement of Mendes as head coach have been massive wins for the Cosmos and their supporters, especially with what has happened over the last few months. In addition, one has to feel happy for Danny Szetela, especially with his club situation since the beginning of the new year. I can’t think of a better captain for Cosmos B. Welcome home Danny.
