Today, to the surprise of many, The Indy Eleven announced the signing of not just one, but two former New York Cosmos. As reported, Ayoze signed for the club, but Eugene Starikov joined the club as well.
Did we say "announcement" earlier? We meant "announcements".

Starikov joined the Cosmos last preseason, finding his way into the team after an impressive preseason tour with New York. He recorded 4 goals and 1 assist in 25 appearances with New York. His skill, work rate, and tenacity will be missed by the Cosmos.
This double swoop, especially to a former NASL rival is definitely a bitter pill to swallow for Cosmos fans, as New York’s playing situation remains up in the air.
