The NASL Team of the Month for August has been revealed. Who made the list?

FC Edmonton: The Eddies have slowly worked their way to third place in the NASL standings. Defenders Abdoulaye Diakité and Pedro Galvão have been named to the Team of the Month. It shouldn’t surprise any one to note that striker Tomi Ameobi made the team as well.

Edmonton has also announced the signings of midfielder Abraham Dukuly and David Doe to first-team contracts. As per club policy, details of the contracts were not released.

Indy Eleven: Another quiet week for Indy. They currently sit bottom of the table with 4 points. Maybe the only satisfaction for Indy fans is to watch this free kick goal from defender Nemanja Vukovic. The beauty of the set piece earned the NASL Play of the Month.

Jacksonville Armada FC: Jacksonville owner Robert Palmer announced that 100 percent of the clubs revenue from online ticket sales will be donated to the Red Cross in order to assist those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Take a look at this video from the NASL as Jacksonville look ahead to the future. Things are looking really bright for the Armada with a new owner and midfielder Jack Blake.

Miami FC: The NASL continues to give a lot of love to Miami as four players made the NASL Team of the Month. Those four being defender Rhett Bernstein, forward Jamie Chávez, midfielder Ariel Martínez, and goalkeeper Daniel Vega. They definitely deserve the love they receive, as Miami currently lead the Fall Season standings.

North Carolina FC: Just another week out of North Carolina. None of their players were featured in the NASL Team of the Month. No players from the Cosmos made it either, if that makes NCFC fans feel any better.

Puerto Rico FC: Puerto Rico continue to look up in their pursuit of winning the Fall Season. The combination of Conor Doyle and Giuseppe Gentile has surely helped PRFC to a second place spot. As a result, the duo has been announced to the Team of the Month.

San Francisco Deltas: Deltas captain Nana Attakora underwent successful surgery on his meniscus. The centre back’s recovery time is expected to be six to eight weeks.

Interesting Read: What a transfer window it was. PSG locked up both Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, Barcelona secured Ousmane Dembélé, and Manchester United look to win the Premier League as José Mourinho has won every league competition in his second year with all the clubs he’s managed.

Do you think the amount of money that flowed around this summer is a bit frightening? Take a look at this piece from The Guardian which notes that the Premier League spent £1.4 billion (!) in the window this summer. They’re not including any other league in that figure, just the top flight in England.
