Both are decorated clubs, as the two hold various titles within their respective leagues. Al-Hilal FC contain the most Saudi Pro League titles with a total of 14. The club has won 8 Arab Championships and 2 AFC Champions League trophies. Throughout their history, they have won 56 titles which makes them one of the most prized clubs in Asia.

The Cosmos on the other hand have won 3 Soccer Bowls in the past 4 years. They have won in Asia too, winning the Lunar New Year Cup against South China in 2015.
