Surprisingly, the Cosmos do not have a green home kit this season. The home kit features an interesting navy blue design with green accents on both the top and bottom. Stars representing the club’s iconic history are featured on the back of the kit, above the player’s names. While in year’s past the Cosmos often wore white at home, this season their white kit is away. This kit is pretty similar to Cosmos kits we’ve seen in the past with green shorts, and a red letter for the Fly Emirates Sponsor. Finally Jimmy Maurer’s keeper kit is all green, with camo designs on the sleeves.

At the media event today, Cosmos owner Rocco Commisso talked with excitement about the Cosmos upcoming season. He also spoke very candidly on things such as local rivals, finding a soccer specific stadium, and the lack of promotion/relegation in the United States.
Rocco on the possibility of a Stadium: NYC needs a soccer venue.. I will be together or alone on this project. I will lead the project .

If you have the time I highly recommend checking out the full press conference where Rocco speaks very candidly. You can check out the team’s official live stream of the event on their Facebook page
Inaria’s debut kit with the Cosmos are pretty bold. In a very short period of time they were able to put out a design for the home kits that has a lot of respect for the club and it’s history. We’ll have to see these kits on the pitch before I can make a proper judgment on them. With regards to Commisso’s comments there’s a lot of be excited about for the long term future of the Cosmos. Of course there are more questions than answers at the moment but under Commisso’s eye it looks like the sky’s the limit. What do you think of the new kits?
