The Cosmos will share MCU with its current inhabitants, New York Mets affiliate Brooklyn Cyclones. Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said the following about the move
New York City Major Bill DeBlasio also weighed in on the Cosmos moving to the five buroughs:
Moving to Brooklyn seems to be a great move for the Cosmos. The location of MCU in the five boroughs will definitely help attract fans to the stands. Public transit to MCU is much easier than getting to Shuart. In addition, MCU is right by Coney Island, one of New York’s biggest attractions. Just like the Nets a few years ago, I can definitely see Brooklyn embracing their newest soccer club. Are you excited for Brooklyn? Let us know in the comments Cosmos Country!
