Today, the New York Cosmos made two big announcements. First the club announced Juan Guerra, its first new signing of the Commisso era. Before signing for the Cosmos, Guerra played in the NASL for the Cosmos rival, the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The 29-year old Venezuelan midfielder will add steel and leadership to the new Cosmos midfield. Guerra expressed his excitement to play with the Cosmos on his personal Twitter:
Very happy to join @NYCosmos A historic club where some of the greats have played! Lets accomplish great things together @5_Points_NYC
