This weekend, the two best teams of the NASL fall season face off at Shuart, as the Cosmos face FC Edmonton. The Cosmos seem allergic to losing as they keep raking up win after win this Fall season. The Eddies on the other hand, have slowed down since their hot start. They’ve failed to capitalize on their games in hand on the Cosmos as they have drawn and lost their two games this week.
Players to watch
This match mark Carlos Mendes’ 100th appearance for the club. Congrats to the captain, he has been nothing but class on and off the field for the reboot era Cosmos.
Carlos Mendes was our first signing of the reboot era. He's set to make his 100th club appearance Saturday.

Expect big things from David Diosa as well. After connecting with David Diosa for a Goal of the Season contender, the winger will be looking to find the back of the net again.
What a volley from @Futbolesvidavid to put the @NYCosmos up 1-0 in the 32'! #NYCvMNU #NASL pic.twitter.com/4PtYtK4SZc

If I was a betting man, I’d put money on golden boot contender Juan Arango to score again. His run of form has been crucial to New York’s playoff push in the last few months. He’ll be up there in MVP contention.
The Eddies had one of their own players hit the hundred game mark as well. Northern Ireland attacker Daryl Fordyce recently hit century mark as well. He’ll be hoping to best Mendes and the Cosmos defense and give Edmonton a much needed win.
Score Prediction
At this point, it's so difficult to pick against the Cosmos. New York is red hot and Edmonton is ice-cold. In addition, the Eddies are playing their third match this week, while the Cosmos are fully rested. That being said, the Cosmos shouldn’t underestimate the second best team this NASL season. This one should be really fun.
The match kicks off at Shuart this Saturday at seven. Tickets are available now. One World Sports will be televising and streaming the match as well.
At the match, the Cosmos will be celebrating Go Gold Pediatric Cancer Night and will be raising money for childhood cancer. Click here to donate!
