For the United States, Tuesday evening against Guatemala will be a must win match, even though mathematically, it isn't. The Stars and Stripes lost have been disappointing thus far in qualifying, losing their last match to Guatemala and settling for a draw against Trinidad & Tobago. That has left the US on just four points, sitting third in their group with three matches left to be played.
From a Cosmos standpoint, there's very little to watch in this match, as the club have not had a USMNT player since the reboot in 2013. Hopefully, that will change in the near future, either with a first team player, or one of the talented youth internationals spending some time with the club, in order to give them some control over their future.
Even though there's no Cosmos connection to this match, it's probably a match that will be of interest to much of the fanbase. Here's what you need to know in order to watch:
