The Copa America 2016 draw was held on Sunday evening, and the United States were handed a very difficult group. The USMNT were drawn against Costa Rica, Colombia, and Paraguay in what might be the most loaded of the four groups. Advancing to the quarterfinals from that group is certainly possible, but will likely require the US to play quite a bit better than they have in a long while in order to do so.
Meanwhile, a pair of new Cosmos signings could be involved for their respective nations. Yohandry Orozco and Venezuela were drawn into Group C alongside Mexico, Jamaica, and Uruguay, while Yasmani Duk and his Bolivia teammates were grouped with Argentina, Chile, and Panama. While it's certainly possible that both Venezuela and Bolivia could make it out of the group stage, it's probably unlikely, at best.
Here are the full results of Sunday's draw:
Group A
United States
Colombia
Costa Rica
Paraguay
Group B
Brazil
Ecuador
Haiti
Peru
Group C
Mexico
Uruguay
Jamaica
Venezuela
Group D
Argentina
Chile

The tournament kicks off on June 3, and concludes June 26. The final will be held in New Jersey, meaning that if Duk, Orozco, or the United States make it all the way to the competition's final day, New York fans will have the chance to see that match in person without too much travel difficulty.
