New York Cosmos confirm Yasmani Duk signing

The Cosmos finalized another signing on Friday, announcing that the loan for Bolivia international Yasmani Duk is now complete. The move likely gives the senior side enough strikers for the 2016 season, with Duk joining returnee Luck Mkosana and new signing Jairo Arrieta in New York. As usual with the club, specifics of the deal were not disclosed.

Head Coach Gio Savarese had the following to say about his latest addition:

"Yasmani’s breakthrough to the national team shows he is playing at a high level. He will bring another dimension to our attack."

Meanwhile, Duk had the following to say about his decision to move to the United States:

"This move to New York to join the Cosmos marks the beginning of a new journey for me. I can’t wait to contribute to this great team. I’m grateful for the opportunity."

Duk's move is confirmed to be a loan, but it's been suggested by basically every outlet that has reported on the story over the past several weeks that the deal will include an option to make it permanent at the end of the 2016 campaign. Hopefully, Duk adapts and plays well enough to make that an easy decision.
