Yasmani Duk confirms New York Cosmos deal, set to join the club in California

After the New York Cosmos were heavily linked to striker Yasmani Duk about a month ago, things have gone a bit quiet  on that front. On Thursday, however, it appears that a deal to bring the Bolivian international to New York will be confirmed shortly, with the following footage of the player boarding a plane for the United States being posted on YouTube.

In addition, the player released the following statement, thanking his fans, through his agent:

"I want to thank my club, my colors in my heart, the institution that made me debut and gave me everything in my career but most of all to the club which am fan from birth, the love of my life today I have to fulfill one of my dreams wait all my life now and I owe it all to my dear east, now fill up a dream but I want you to know that I have to east in the skin, if I was wrong but I ask a thousand times sorry for what to err is human, all I thank God for making me a fan of this club and give me the best years playing in one day I will return and will be to deliver all of me as they always say on court due east where you go I'll always take the left side where my heart is why Eastern is a feeling THANKS FOR EVERYTHING !! "

While the Cosmos are yet to confirm the signing, it sounds like the deal should be made official shortly. The agreement is rumored to be a one-year loan, likely with an option for the NASL champions to make the move permanent following the 2016 season.
