Some bad news for Cosmos fans: midfielder Sebastian Guenzatti confirmed on his Facebook and Twitter that he won’t be playing again this season due to a ruptured Crucial Ligament. Guenzatti also will not be available for the Cosmos’ postseason.

It’s a shame the Cosmos lost a player so close to the end of the season. While Guenzatti has often come off the bench, he has been an important spark to the team’s offense. The injury will be a major blow to the Cosmos offense, who after having an incredible August have stagnated as of late. ACL injuries also tend to be quite difficult to recover from, especially for attack minded players. Hopefully he can recover from the injury swiftly and come back next season an even stronger player. We all hope you get better soon Sebastian.
