Juan Arango's move to the Cosmos could be confirmed on Wednesday

The New York Cosmos have been taking their time this winter, but it looks as if a pair of big moves are going to be completed in the next several days. The first of which, according to reports on Wednesday, could happen in the next several hours. Meridiano is reporting that the deal to bring Juan Arango to the Cosmos is close, and that we could hear confirmation from one of the sides as early as Wednesday afternoon.

This report isn't the first we've heard that a deal with the Cosmos is close, as Empire of Soccer reported earlier in the week that a deal was all but done as well. Taken together, it's hard to imagine that we don't hear confirmation very, very soon, and celebrate another big name to cheer for before the 2016 season kicks off.

Arango should become the primary set piece taker for the Cosmos, who needed a new one following the retirement of Marcos Senna in November. He should slot right in to the starting eleven, likely playing in the hole behind the center forward, and replacing some of the goal scoring threat from the midfield that was lost when Leo Fernandes returned to the Philadelphia Union.
