Rayo OKC have been busy, lately, building their inaugural roster ahead of the 2016 NASL season. On Tuesday, the expansion side made another pair of additions, confirming the signings of two new players, Tyler Gibson and Caleb Patterson-Sewell.
Gibson should be a name that many NASL fans know, as he broke through with the San Antonio Scorpions, and definitely showed flashes of an impact player in the making. Alen Marcina certainly knew what Gibson brings to the table, and it's not a huge surprise to see the pair re-uniting in Oklahoma City this season.
Meanwhile, Patterson-Sewell is a 6'3" goalkeeper who has spent the last several season in Europe, but should be another name New York area fans recognize. The shot stopper spent a season with the New York Red Bulls before making a move to USL, where he spent time with both the Carolina RailHawks and Miami FC. Following those spells in the second tier, the Australian-American spent time with a trio of clubs in Portugal.
With the two signings, Rayo OKC continue to look like one of the more interesting sides in the NASL next season, and if they gel pretty quickly, could push for an upper-half finish in 2016.
