The New York Cosmos are in the market for attacking help following the retirement of Raul and the loss of Gaston Cellerino, and reports in South American are suggesting that they've found that help. The agent of Bolivian international Yasmani Duk is claimed to have confirmed that a deal for Duk is done, with the NASL champions taking the striker on loan for the 2016 season, with an option to make the deal permanent if they so choose next winter.
The Cosmos have worked deals similar to this one in the past, giving them a chance to evaluate a player before making the deal permanent. In this case, the reported fee to bring Duk to New York permanently is just $250,000, something that the club should be able to afford fairly easily if he impresses in 2016.
As of yet, there has been no confirmation from either club, and it's important to note that agents aren't always 100% reliable sources for this sort of stuff (as Jose Escalante's rumored signing proves). Either way, I'd expect confirmation one way of the other in fairly short order.
