New York Cosmos' pair named to NASL Team of the Week

New York Cosmos

The Cosmos pulled off another exciting, come from behind victory over the weekend, to keep them within reasonable striking distance of the top of the fall table. That comeback has seen another pair of players named to the NASL Team of the Week, something that has become common for the boys in green throughout the course of the season.

This week, both Andres Flores and Raul were honored by the league. Here's what the NASL website had to say about the pair:

MID: Andrés Flores (New York Cosmos) – Seeing more and more time in the heart of the Cosmos’ midfield, Flores has excelled. He was the beneficiary of a well-rehearsed set piece, scoring early in the 3-2 win over the RailHawks, and he was a constant attacking threat throughout the match.

FWD: Raúl (New York Cosmos) – The Spanish star picked out Andrés Flores for an assist early in the match and constantly tested the RailHawks’ back line. Raúl eventually found the back of the net, converting from the penalty spot, in a match the Cosmos went on to win.

As always, congratulations to both, and keep up the good work.
