The New York Cosmos still have one international roster slot to fill, but if Sunday's match against the Carolina RailHawks is any indication, they may have already agreed to a deal which should make their fans very happy. The club has been linked to Greek striker Georgois Samaras several times this summer, and on Sunday, the player was in attendance at Hofstra:

Gazetta is also reporting that the two sides have reached an agreement on a contract, presumably to join the club in very short order.
If true, Samaras would give the boys in green a very different option up front, as he's a physical target man that plays a very different style than any of Haji Wright, Lucky M'Kosana, or Raul. He's got an excellent goal scoring record, however, and could really work well with the aforementioned trio to break stubborn defenses (like Ottawa on Wednesday) down.
There has been no confirmation from the Cosmos at this time, but we'll have updates for you as they become available.
