New York Cosmos 4 - Cuba 1: Highlights

It was a big night for the New York Cosmos as they faced the Cuban national team, and the Cosmos responded in a big way. Four goals in the first half left little doubt about how Tuesday's match would end, and after playing out the second forty-five minutes with less intensity than they showed in the first half, the Cosmos finished they're grueling two-week stretch with another victory.

All told, the Cosmos played four matches in the past eleven days, winning three while stealing a draw in the dying moments against Minnesota United. I don't think anyone would have been disappointed with those results before that stretch started, especially as the boys in green managed to win the knockout match against Jersey Express FC fairly comfortably.

Gio Savarese's side will now get a much needed break, and can clinch the spring season title if both Minnesota and Tampa Bay drop points this weekend. If that doesn't happen, the club will have the chance to take care of business themselves at home, against Jacksonville Armada FC.
