The Cosmos will be without tone of their biggest names on Tuesday, as head coach Gio Savarese confirmed that Marcos Senna is currently injured, and won't be risked this evening. He also mentioned that several other players are dealing with injuries, via Empire of Soccer:
"We had a difficult week. We played seven matches in eight days. We do have some injuries. Marcos Senna is one of them, He will not be able to play tomorrow."
'There are also one or two [other injured] players as well, but the majority of the players will be able to play — including Raul"
Despite the congested schedule over the past two weeks, Savarese is expected to choose a mostly first-choice squad when the match kicks off this evening. I'd expect to see the pivot pairing of Adam Moffat and Danny Szetela again in the absence of Senna, just as we did against Minnesota United.
The Cosmos will have a chance to rest up after Tuesday's match, as they have the weekend off due to their bye. If results go their way this Saturday, they could be celebrating a spring championship despite the day off.
