The New York Cosmos still have one open international roster slot, and have been vocal about they're desire to fill that slot with a striker with experience at the highest level. There aren't many players out there that would fit the description better than Antonio Di Natale, and on Friday, the Cosmos found themselves linked to the Italian legend yet again.
The club has been linked to Di Natale in the past, but on Friday, Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Cosmos coach Gio Savarese has been in contact recently, and that the club has made an offer to the 37-year old. The Italian website is also reporting that the player has an offer from the Middle East, but believes that the most likely outcome is still one more season with Udinese.
With most league's in Europe wrapping up, I'm sure we'll start to hear quite a bit about players like Di Natale and the Cosmos. Fun times...
