The North American Soccer League has been looking to expand to the West Coast, with San Francisco being all but confirmed as the league's first California club. According to Evan Ream, who is always in the know on West Coast soccer, they won't be the only California club entering the league in the next year:
Hearing that SF won't be the only West Coast NASL team. Sources telling me that Orange County will likely be in the league as well (1/2)

Haven't heard a time table for the Orange County NASL team, but would guess 2017 as a start date if bid is accepted (2/2)

We've heard rumors of Los Angeles area for quite a while, and this is yet more that's suggesting we'll see Southern California in the NASL mix in the very near future. Hopefully, we'll hear something official soon.
