New York Cosmos release NASL fall schedule, Los Angeles won't begin play in 2015

John Geliebter-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Cosmos released their 2015 fall season schedule on Tuesday, which will cover 20 matches following a short mid-season break. The full NASL schedule confirms that there won't be any second half expansion this season, meaning that a potential club in Los Angeles will likely begin play in the spring of 2016.

The fall schedule is interesting, as the 11-team format left some clubs with large blocks of time off, as well as several weeks where they play more than once. For the Cosmos, this has led to four mid-week fixtures in the fall, two at home, and two away.

The full Cosmos fall schedule is as follows, with the home team listed first. All start times are yet TBD:

Saturday, July 18: Jacksonville Armada FC vs. Cosmos
