The New York Cosmos host the New York Red Bulls on Saturday in the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup and ONE World Sports -- not MSG Network -- will carry the match exclusively on television.
ONE World Sports has made a change to the usual broadcast team for Saturday's match. Usual Cosmos play-by-play man JP Dellacamera will be replaced by Steve Cangialosi. Cangialosi is best known as the play-by-play announcer for the New Jersey Devils and New York Red Bulls on MSG network.
In addition, Cosmos legend Shep Messing will serve as an analyst during the match. Messing also serves as an analyst for the Red Bulls on MSG Network. Janusz Michallik will work as an analyst alongside messing for the ONE World Sports broadcast.
"Just like the Yankees and the Mets, and the Giants and Jets, New York City fans relish the chance to face their cross-town nemeses -- especially when it’s the first time that the two teams have ever faced each other," Alexander "Sandy" Brown, president and CEO of ONE World Sports, said in a press release. "This will be must-viewing for any New York-area soccer fans."
Saturday's match kicks off at 8:30 at James M. Shuart Stadium on Long Island.
