NASL team of the week features a pair of Cosmos

The Cosmos have now had five different starters named to the NASL team of the week this spring

For the second time this season, the New York Cosmos landed a pair of players on the NASL team of the week. Following a 3-0 victory over a team on the outskirts of the title race, that was probably to be expected.

Marcos Senna was honored for the second week running, following up his game winning goal against Minnesota United by assisting the game winner against Tampa Bay. He was joined in the eleven by center forward Mads Stokkelien, who scored for the second time this season when he headed home the Senna cross.

Also of note in this week's group, striker Mike Grella made the list. You might remember the local product trialing with the Cosmos this winter, before latching on in the state where he went to college. The full team of the week is as follows:

Goalkeeper

John Smits, FC Edmonton

Defenders

Stephen DeRoux, San Antonio Scorpions

Omar Jarun, Ottawa Fury FC

Conor Tobin, Carolina RailHawks

Albert Watson, FC Edmonton

Midfielders

Tony Donatelli, Ottawa Fury FC

Miguel Ibarra, Minnesota United FC

Forwards

Mike Grella, Carolina RailHawks
