The Cosmos will host the Red Bulls if they win their round three U.S. Open Cup match

The round four draw was held on Friday

The Cosmos still have to face the Brooklyn Italians in round three of the U.S. Open Cup, but if they manage to win their match at St. John's University to advance to round four, they now know who they will be facing. The fourth round U.S. Open Cup draw was held on Friday morning, and the winner of the match between the Italians and the Cosmos has been drawn against the New York Red Bulls.

If the Italians come out victorious, the game will be played at Red Bull Arena. Should the Cosmos defeat the NPSL side in round three though, they'll be hosting the MLS side at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. The date and time are yet to be determined, but the host side will determine the exact date and time of the match to be played somewhere between June 10 and June 18.

The Cosmos have not played an MLS side in either the cup or a friendly match since beginning play last summer, but a potential match against the Red Bulls would be a mouth watering draw. I can't wait.
