Week six of the NASL spring season features a top of the table clash

Week six has several interesting matchups on tap

USA TODAY Sports

The Cosmos will feature on ESPN3 this week, renewing one of the best rivalries in the NASL when they take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The two-match losing streak that they snapped last Monday has assured they'll need to keep an eye on the other four fixtures being played though, with one in particular being of crucial importance as the top of the table takes shape. Here's what is on tap for week six, and how to watch it:

Tampa Bay Rowdies vs. New York Cosmos

We'll preview this one in full later on, but the last time these two teams met it was one of the most entertaining matches I've ever seen.

Carolina RailHawks vs. Atlanta Sivlerbacks

With both the RailHawks and SIlverbacks losing crucial games last weekend, both team really need to win out in order to have any chance of being crowned spring season champions. Both teams have been wildly inconsistent this season, so this one is a toughie to predict.

Indy Eleven vs. Ottawa Fury

The league welcomed two new sides into the fold this spring, and they'll be meeting for the first time in their histories on Saturday. They've combined for one win and just six points through the first five weeks of the season, so this match will have no implications at all on the top of the table.

Minnesota United vs. Fort Lauderdale Strikers

After the Cosmos handed the loons their first loss of the season on Monday, there are two teams sitting atop the table with twelve points. The Loons will host the Strikers on Saturday night with the top of the table on the line, and this one will be worth keeping an eye on for Cosmos fans.

A draw or a Strikers win would probably be the best result for Gio Savarese's side, as having already played Minnesota, a United win could be trouble. Regardless of the result though, the Cosmos need to win on Saturday night to make it work in their favor.

San Antonio Scorpions vs. FC Edmonton

The Scorpions are very much in the title hunt, FC Edmonton is very much out of it. This one will likely see the Scorpions dominate possession while the Eddies sit back and defend, and it will be interesting to see if San Antonio can break down a tough defense.
