Just five days left to go, so how about watching a wondergoal?

Here's one of the best strikes of all time, from our legendary number 5

The number five has some significance in New York Cosmos history, and I could have chosen any number of videos for today's countdown. The club won their fifth Soccer Bowl before the original NASL dissolved in 1982, but in the end, this 1970 World Cup wonder strike was just too amazing to pass up.

Carlos Alberto Torres is one of the greatest defenders of all time, and spent five seasons with the Cosmos after an incredible career in Brazil. He wore the number 5 shirt for the bulk of his time with the club, though avid historians would tell you that he started his NASL career wearing the number 25. During his time with the club, the player won four Soccer Bowls. In addition to lifting league titles in 1977, 1978, 1980, and 1982, he was named to three NASL all-star teams (1978, 1979, 1980). The most memorable moment of his career was almost certainly lifting the 1970 World Cup though, and this golazo was probably the highlight of the entire tournament.
