The Cosmos have announced that they'll be hosting an open practice today, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. The event is free to the public, and the club had the following to say about the event on it's website
Before the start of practice, the team will host a Fan Fest on the Shuart Stadium field. It will run from 5-5:45 p.m. and will have activities for children of all ages, including inflatable shooting targets.
Open practice at Hofstra University’s Shuart Stadium from 6-8 p.m. Watch your Cosmos at a live training session as they prepare for the start of this exciting season. Concessions will be available for purchase. There will be other special surprises throughout the practice as well.
The season kicks off in just ten days, when the Atlanta Silverbacks come to town. Tonight's event will be a great chance to enjoy the springlike weather while getting a look at some of the new faces on the roster. Those new faces include defender Jimmy Ockford, forward Mads Stokkelien, forward Hans Denissen, and goalkeeper Kyle Zobeck.
