Cosmos announce second preseason friendly against Al Wasl

Francois Nel

The Cosmos announced the second of the three friendlies their scheduled to play in Dubai today, confirming that they'll be taking the pitch against Al Wasl on Tuesday, March 11.

The New York Cosmos will hit the pitch for their second preseason match Tuesday as club continues its two-week training stint in Dubai. The Cosmos will play Al Wasl of the UAE Arabian Gulf League in an international friendly Tuesday morning at Zabeel Stadium. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 11:10 a.m. EST.

Al Wasl is probably a name that many of you have heard, if for no other reason than having been managed by Diego Maradona after his entertaining spell with the Argentina national team. They don't have the same history of success that Al Shabab have, and are currently sitting 10th in the Arabian Gulf League.

Like last week's friendly against Al Shabab, there will be no stream available to watch this one live. The club will again provide updates via twitter, and will likely produce a short highlights package as they did with the first match of the trip.
