The Cosmos haven't yet released their preseason schedule, but the University of Virginia announced last week that they'll be be playing the NASL side in April*. Here's what they had to say on the event:
Virginia will travel to play against three pro teams, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the United Soccer Leagues (March 8), Richmond Kickers of USL (March 22) and the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League (April 5). Former UVa All-American Alecko Eskandarian is an assistant coach with the Cosmos.
*h/t to @CosmosSoccerFan for spotting this news
April 5 is the final Saturday before the NASL season gets underway, so it's probably safe to assume that the Cavaliers will be the final tuneup scheduled in 2014. The game sounds like it will be played at Mitchell Field, good news for Cosmos' fans interested in attending a preseason match.
There is still no word on the remaining preseason schedule, but you would have to think it will be released soon.
