Cosmos extend Stefan Dimitrov, Peri Marosevic

The club announced that both players have signed new deals with the club on Friday

The Cosmos announced a pair of extensions on Friday, confirming that both Peri Marosevic and Stefan Dimitrov have signed new deal with the club. Both saw regular minutes for the Cosmos last season, but could be looking at smaller roles in 2014 now that the Cosmos have added Hans Denissen and Mads Stokkelien to the attack, and don't yet appear to be done.

Marosevic made six starts and two substitute appearances last season, and scored the first goal for the club in their return to competitive play. Dimitrov started nine games and made three additional substitute appearances, though his one goal was a disappointing total from a striker on the league's best team.

Gio Savarese seems happy to have the pair back for a second season with the club, and had the following to say about the players:

"Peri and Stef were important players for us last year. They both filled important roles and contributed every time they stepped on the field. We’re happy to bring them back this season."

As usual with the Cosmos, specific details of the deals were not disclosed.
