Messing Around: Edmonton releases preseason schedule, Indy looking for more than eleven players

Non-Cosmos news and notes for February 10, 2014

Gonzalo Arroyo Moreno

Every day we try to take a look at some of the interesting things going on in the world of sports that don't involve the Cosmos. Here's what we've got for you today:

FC Edmonton release preseason schedule

We're still waiting on the Cosmos to release their full preseason schedule, but many other NASL sides have already done so. FC Edmonton joined that list today.

Indy Eleven still looking for players

One of the two new teams to join the league this season is still looking for players, with only 11 currently under contract. A bench would probably be a good thing.

Atletico Madrid's season will be defined in the next ten days

Most expected the Spanish club to be good, but few expected them to be as good as they have been. The next two weeks will go a long way towards defining their season.

Fulham hold Manchester United to a draw

I almost didn't watch the game because it looked like such a lopsided affair, but in the end, I'm glad I did. United set the Premier League record for crosses in a single contest, while Fulham managed a stoppage time equalizer to help them in their fight to avoid being relegated.

What you need to know about bobsled, luge, and skeleton

These are three of my favorite sports to watch during the winter games, though doubles luge is just weird.
