The NASL expansion to Los Angeles seems to be less 'if', and more 'when' at this point, as more and more details of the project are being leaked every day. What I woke up to this morning was something I had to read multiple times though, as it's just so ridiculous that I'm still not sure what to make of it:
Sources have indicated that @KimKardashian part of ownership group for new @naslofficial franchise in Los Angeles. Armenian $ backing.

I have no idea whether or not this has any truth to it*, but if true, this is...well...interesting. On one hand, having Kim Kardashian involved in the league is certainly going to bring media attention, as everything Kardashian does gets the tabloids in a frenzy. More attention on the NASL could only be a good thing, even if it's unlikely to have much to do with the game in this case.
On the other hand, Kardashian doesn't exactly strike me as someone that makes long-term commitments, and I can't really see what she'd bring to a professional soccer club aside from name recognition. I suppose this will be interesting to watch, at the very least.
*I actually wrote this about 3 hours before posting it, but didn't decide to actually run it until several more established accounts started to pick up on it. I'm still not entirely convinced that this is a thing...
