Marcos Senna named to NASL team of the week

Mike Zarrilli

The NASL announced their team of the week for the 26th week of the NASL season on Tuesday. After a 2-2 draw with the Tampa Bay Rowdies that saw the Cosmos lock themselves into the third seed for the upcoming playoffs, one Cosmos' player and one of their opponents both found themselves recognized.

For the Cosmos, Marcos Senna found himself honored after scoring with a beautiful free kick. Unfortunately, in addition to his contribution to the draw, Senna also found himself in a bit of controversy receiving a stoppage time red card that the club have since appealed.
