The Cosmos finally got things back on track this weekend, picking up a much-needed three points against the Ottawa Fury. The victory has moved the club within touching distance of a playoff spot, and a win this weekend will clinch a berth in the four-team postseason tournament.
The league recognized a pair of Cosmos for their contributions to the win, and both players were key members of last season's Championship squad that have struggled with injury in 2014. Roversio was outstanding on the back line after several somewhat shaky performances, while Diomar Diaz was the sort of menace that we came to expect during the 2013 fall campaign. Congratulations to both, and let's hope they repeat their performance this weekend as the Cosmos look to clinch.
