Two Cosmos players were recognized by the league for their outstanding performances this past weekend. While the club only managed a draw against FC Edmonton, both Danny Szetela and Carlos Mendes found themselves named to the NASL team of the week. The full team is as follows:

Both played strong games in the 1-1 draw, though I'm certain both wish they had done a little more in order to help turn one point into three. The Cosmos still sit comfortably in the playoff picture, but a win this past weekend would have significantly increased their odds of hosting a playoff game.
There is still hope that the club can manage to finish above San Antonio in the combined table, but it will require more team of the week performances from quite a few starters in order to do so. Here's hoping that happens this weekend when the club host the Indy Eleven.
